Background

Open Fairways, was founded in 1999 a Nonprofit Corporation in the State of
Colorado by Tim and Clare Taylor, after discovering a need and an opportunity to
give at-risk and under privileged children the chance to experience the game of
golf and the life skills it teaches. Golf can provide a lifetime of enjoyment through
lessons that can be applied on and off the course. The game is uniquely
capable of improving the lives of children simply by teaching them that there are
rules one must follow even when no one is looking. At the same time, teaching
kids is the most fundamental way to give something back to the game.
Open Fairways is a tax-exempt organization as described in section 501
(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
